Meet Our Team

Hi, I’m Dr. Matt Schwedfeger. I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School. From there I moved on to Villanova University where I earned a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. I then traveled to Baltimore where I received my D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After dental school, I returned home to Rochester and began one year of post-graduate training at the Strong Hospital and the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. There I received vast training in treating medically compromised and special needs patients as well as furthering my education in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery and endodontics. I am currently a part-time associate professor at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health where I work closely with resident doctors to treat patients.

I am an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, New York State Dental Association, and the Monroe County Dental Society.

Besides dentistry, my interests include golf, the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, and of course Villanova basketball. I am an avid sports fan and I love being able to share these interests with my friends and family. I currently live in Brighton with my wife, Kacey and our daughter Emma.
